HONESTLY DONGHYUK IS A BEAUTIFUL SOUL and i feel like in 2015 people will finally see that >:( or at least i hope they do because during mix and match i wanted to carve onto my computer screen donghyuk is useful. his vocals have improved immensely since win. rolling in the deep was great and his voice is perfectly suited to ENL (and it is a damn shame they gave his second set of lines to jinhwan in the official version bc donghyuk would have been a better choice.) he is a skilled dancer: (i always find it hilarious that he is a baby dancing to a song about hella oral sex) (also my favorite thing about his all of me performance is how happy he is like you can tell how much he loves dancing)
personality wise, if june is jinhwans problem child then donghyuk is the good kid. the smarty pants class president. he loves team b (and also winner) SO MUCH i feel like he is definitely one of the more sentimental members, like when he was crying on the second episode of mix and match and just staring down and playing with his team b ring. one reason i think that donghyuk thinks of b.i as more hyung like, besides what anon above said, is the admiration donghyuk has for him (the letter he wrote him during win T__T) and how b.i to him is definitely a leader, which puts him on a different status level for donghyuk. it is hard for me to pick out a closest member for him because i keep thinking well he loves b.i but he also loves bobby and also everyone. (but his relationship with b.i is my favorite: ) his interactions with june are so hilarious to me because they are so warm vs cold.
he is really pleasant-natured and smiling all the time, even when he is visiting his dead father or when he twisted his ankle during the last mix and match stage. he loves being playful (YOU PABO, YOU PABO!!!!) and he isnt as bad as bobby by any means but he loves touching people and cuddling on them. he has a gentle personality but he isnt really shy? or at least he has no problem talking to fill the silence or showing off his abs. i wouldnt say he is confident, maybe, but he seems at least secure with himself/his identity. he comes off as mature to me, probably because he is now the "man of the family" and all. HE IS ALSO GORGEOUS i will fight anyone.
two things i couldnt fit in here anywhere: - the part in climax where he sings touch the sky and then looks up at the ceiling with watery eyes (obviously looking to someone who isnt there) broke my damn heart T__T - HE KEPT..........THE RECEIPT.......FOR JUNHOES GIFT what a thoughtful boy
i LOVED that he kept the reciept for junhwe's gift!! like it was such a small thing but it completely won me over (and i love how bobby was like "meanwhile yunhyeong got me this" l o l)
ia with all of this. i can see him and junhwe having arguments over things in the beginning, only cos donghyuk is so sensitive and junhoe seems like the kind of person who has no problem calling ppl out over the smallest things. but also at the same time do donghyuk is pretty patient so i feel like eventually he learnt to be sort of the yin to junhwe's yang? so many maknae feelings T___T
and omg i love his relationship with b.i too. honestly a lot of the overly sentimental stuff in win seemed rly ott to me, but donghyuk's seemed sooooo genuine? and i felt like b.i was almost thrown off by how sincere it was. and yh donghyuk definitely looks up to b.i, and i think b.i definitely has a soft spot for donghyuk? is really endeared by him and acknowledges him a lot (donghyuk is the team's main yah!!)
and omg donghyuk and bobby where do i even begiiiiin. like when i first watched m&m donghyuk and bobby's r/s stuck out to me so much. mainly cos of the bit where bobby was like "hyung is here, hyung is here" LIKE OH MY GOD I REWATCH THAT ALL THE TIME I HAVE THE CLIP SAVED ON MY PHONE IT IS THE CUTEST FREAKING THING EVER JFC WHY IS IT SO ADORABLE WHY DOES BOBBY/DONGHYUK EXIST JUST okay sry i lost myself there... but i just love it so much because donghyuk is SO RECEPTIVE to bobby's love. like hanbin and bobby are more like equals/best friends. bobby is just heart eyes with jinhwan. bobby is chingus with yoyo so there isn't as much going on. chanwoo sometimes doesn't seem to know how to respond the bobby. junhwe looks like he'd be the kind to be actively repelled. but donghyuk just indulges in it, he is soooo receptive to bobby's affections and you can tell bobby rly likes that he is? omg there's this pic where he's pinching donghyuk's cheeks at the airport... and he serenades him while he's cooking meet... and he's just such a ~fun support loving excited~ hyung to donghyuk. he legit treats donghyuk like the little brother he never had

yes i can definitely see junhoe and donghyuk not getting along which only makes me ship them more, like in the hidden camera prank when they were all like it needs to be based in truth! and then jinhwan asked junhoe to please be nice to donghyuk lmao, but i think this would in the end strengthen their bond when they learned to relate better to each other.

yeah!! like i feel like jinhwan is rly aware of the fact that they WOULD get into an argument like that, which is why he believed it so easily. irl i'd imagine their arguments would be more insular though? like as junhwe said they wouldn't fight in front of the hyungs, so they both probably internalise it and keep it to themselves. but like i think donghyuk is the type to reach out to junhwe regardless? like always keep on attempting to make amends/befriend him so eventually it's almost inevitable junhwe would break down. and donghyuk is so much less ott than bobby so it's not the type where junhwe would be like "omfg what do i even do where's jinhwan" either
lol i'm sorry ;; idek why i started loving bobhyuk this much. i think it's just because seeing them together makes me feel so warm and safe and i want a r/s like theirs in my rl. like you can tell donghyuk is bobby's favourite dongsaeng (idt he rly considers hanbin a dongsaeng). like they're a big puppy and a small puppy always playing with e/o, there's just soooo much positivity in that relationship and it's one that's so good and gives so much to both of them. man i really love it T__T i'm so glad bobby and donghyuk have e/o in their lives.
